CONTRACT VEHICLES

SBA 8(a) Sole-Source/
Set-Aside ($4.5M)

sba8a_rollover.png

The Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) certification program is a strategic initiative aimed at supporting small, disadvantaged businesses by enhancing their ability to compete for federal contracts. Through this program, GRYT can receive sole-source contracts up to $4.5 million. This certification also allows for partnerships with other business owners to jointly bid on larger contracts.

GRYT's 8(a) status not only enables quicker facilitation of awards, thereby reducing the time typically spent on RFP (Request for Proposal) development and contractor response reviews, but it also helps federal agencies meet their commitments to partnering with small businesses. This collaboration is a key advantage for both GRYT and the contracting agencies.

The GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) is the largest and most widely used procurement vehicle in the federal government. It operates as an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, providing federal agencies with the resources and expertise necessary to streamline procurement processes.

Through the GSA MAS, agencies can shorten procurement cycles, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and secure the best value for innovative technology products, services, and solutions. This contract vehicle is essential for efficient and effective federal procurement, offering a broad range of options to meet diverse agency needs.

GSA MAS 8(a) Pool - Sole Source and Competitive

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the General Services Administration (GSA) have entered into a revised 8(a) Program Partnership Agreement. The primary goal of this agreement is to establish an 8(a) Pool under Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), aimed at enhancing contracting opportunities for 8(a) contractors by making them more visible to Contracting Officers for competitive set-aside and sole-source awards.

GRYT is eligible for both 8(a) Sole Source and Competitive opportunities under the GSA MAS schedule.  More information can be found here on how to award both 8(a) Sole Source and Competitive contracts via GSA.
